暑期英語學習營

New Zealand Sharing by NG TSZ FUNG from 3B

Although I felt very tired and exhausted because of the jet lag and the 12-hour flight on the day we arrived in New Zealand, my classmate and I were very excited about the world outside Hong Kong. We rushed to get our luggage and then gathered at the main exit to meet our host. He gave us a briefing about the New Zealand Customs Service and helped us arrange our passage to New Zealand by collecting our Hong Kong Identity cards and passports.

At first, we were quite afraid that we might not be able to pass through the Customs Service because of the language barrier. Fortunately though, everyone successfully passed the examination by the Customs Officers and we happily took a bus to Rotorua with a sigh of relief. There, we spent our first two days to have fun before commencing the regular schooling.

We spent 2 hours to reach Rotorua. It was already late at night when we arrived there. We were allowed to check in at Four Canoes Hotel, where we could enjoy a spa which we longed for ages.

The first night was crazy. Everybody went into the spa to relax and chat with each other. At the first glance, we thought that the water would be very hot but it was just at the right temperature for us. Maybe it was because the weather in New Zealand was extremely cold for us. That’s why even though the water was so hot, we felt completely comfortable and the spa definitely eased our tension and fatigue. What an unforgettable night!

It was even more fabulous when we started our regular schooling. We were glad that we were provided plenty of opportunities to visit many stunning places. We went to the Kiwi Museum to get in touch with the cutest little creature called Kiwi bird and enjoyed my first boat buffet on Queensland Lake. Yummy! We climbed a high mountain to have a ride on the luge, and visited the Maori Museum.

There are a lot more to say, but you should come and join our coming New Zealand Tour and have your own first-hand, fascinating experience in New Zealand!
